Final:Regional Economy

Since private schools in Tanzania receive very little or no financial support from the government, the main source of income for the school is from the fees paid by the parents.  Nevertheless, many of the students come from a poor economic background.  The per capita GNP of Tanzania is around $160, which is one of the lowest in the world.   In order to keep the cost as low as possible, Hekima has started some small self-help projects such as farming, gardening and animal husbandry.
